Lian Wang

Head of Medical Sector

Dr Wang is Head of Medical Sector for Patent Alliance Innovation Fund (PAIF). Lian had extensive experience leading multidisciplinary drug discovery projects, managing programs involving global teams, evaluating potential in-licensing products, establishing collaborative work with experts, and managing laboratory operational logistics. Lian worked many years in pharmaceutical industry, both in US and in China. She started at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceutical Inc in US, then joined Abbott Laboratory Shanghai R&D center. She also took a major role in a startup company developing medical diagnosis device. Lian received her Ph.D degree in biochemistry from University of Pennsylvania and completed her postdoctoral training on molecular biology at Harvard Medical School. In addition to professional work, Lian is an active participant to community service.
